La corda l’aveva rimediata da un rigattiere di fiducia con la scusa che gli serviva per ancorarsi a qualcosa di solido. La pietra pesante aveva faticato non poco a trascinarla sul ponte sotto il quale scorreva il fiume impetuoso. Era stato previsto tutto nei più minuziosi particolari. Sarà stata l’insistenza di quello che lo voleva convincere a desistere, forse una piccola distrazione, resta il fatto che dopo aver gettato la pietra, a venir trascinato giù dal peso di quella, ci finiva proprio l’altro: aveva legato il collo sbagliato!
